We're a small team with big ideas, hailing from the ambulances of Central New York — driven by a passion to revolutionize healthcare.
For years, we've worked on the front lines of healthcare, donning what we affectionately call our "street scrubs."
We've raced through city streets in ambulances, provided critical care on sidewalks, and navigated the complex maze of emergency rooms. We've witnessed firsthand the struggles faced by our friends out in the community seeking timely and much needed medical care.
We've seen a system that often fails to meet people where they are, leaving a lot of us without the support we desperately need.
But where others see insurmountable challenges, we see an opportunity for change.
That's why we've founded Drakos Dynamics and Drakos Urgent Care. Our mission goes deeper than just offering urgent care; we're here to reshape the future of healthcare delivery, locally. We're tirelessly working to optimize antiquated processes through innovative tech-forward approaches that never lose sight of the human element at the heart of healthcare.
We fight for accessibility as our north star, meeting people where they are with comprehensive, best-in-class solutions. Our approach is rooted in a multidisciplinary team built to meet the diverse needs of our community, informed by countless interactions with patients from all walks of life.
We know building trust and showing you we can help won't be easy. The healthcare industry is complex. Our experiences have taught us the value of perseverance, and we're not afraid to challenge the status quo, to innovate unapologetically, and to stand up for what's right, even when it's difficult.
If you're tired of a healthcare system that doesn't work for you, join us in this revolution.
Whether you're seeking more accessible care, a healthcare professional or an organization passionate about making a difference, or you're just someone who believes in our mission — there's a place for you here.
As for us, we're ready to roll up our sleeves once again – not in street scrubs this time, but in the pursuit of systemic change. We know in our hearts that the best days of healthcare are still ahead of us, and we're committed to relentless forward progress towards a more accessible, inclusive, and effective healthcare system for all.
Together, we can transform healthcare from the ground up, ensuring that quality care is not a privilege, but a right that every single member of our community can access.
Sincerely
Delivering incredible, local care — with precision and compassion

Great staff and service. Recommended by our local urgent care since they are open till midnight. I was skeptical at first with the banner out front, but the facility is updated and clean. They were fairly busy. Our visit involved an x-ray and maybe took 30 minutes.
By far the best urgent care center I have been to. Made an appointment online yesterday for my sinus infection, walked in and was ready to go at 5:19. The staff was so nice to deal with. My nurse was amazing and so was the provider. They were genuine, they clearly cared enough to take a minute to get to know me personally too. Which is rare. Antibiotics and steroids sent right in, ready for pickup on my way home. So the next day (today) I call back as Kinneys closed at 3 and my prescription from any old primary care doctor was sitting there and I can’t go without it. I called and asked if they could help. They immediately sent in a 3 day supply of it to a pharmacy that’s open for me. Didn’t have to go make another appointment, pay to go back, etc. they just went ahead and took care of it for me. 5 star service. Highly recommend.
Very professional and extremely helpful. I am very impressed with the entire process and staff. Support staff are very helpful and nice. The facility is super clean and bright. Online appointments make a huge difference in the speed. I highly recommend going there if you are in need of urgent care.
I was very grateful for the care we received at Drakos. They got my child seen in a hurry. Processed my new patient paperwork with ease. Excellent, competent pediatric care. Best thing I didn't have to venture to the ER for a visit. I got care in network care 15 minutes from home. It's a great thing.
The staff was amazing, friendly and supportive. The wait time was short, I think I waited about 10-15min to be seen. I was impressed on how clean and organized it was. The providers actually took time to talk with me, unlike other urgent care places that they talk to you for 2 seconds and leave. I would highly recommend Drakos. Great staff, great service. Awesome experience overall.
Friendly staff who knows what they're talking about and how to communicate with patients. A visit I ordinarily dread when it rarely happens was made so easy by the staff at Drakos'; thank you all. Specifically thank you to Theresa and Younger (if I have names wrong or forgot anyone I'm sorry) for their assistance.
Our family has now made 3 trips to Drakos, and I can’t thank them enough. I made an appointment online, arrived 30 minutes later and was brought back almost immediately. Great facility, and the staff and providers are wonderful. Very knowledgeable, patient, and friendly. I find comfort in knowing we have them local to go to if needed.
They are absolutely fantastic. I brought my daughter here as I couldn't get her in to her pediatricians and was recommended to bring my daughter here. I am so glad I did! I had a very short wait time, the staff was very attentive, patient and wonderful with her. They also called to check on her a week after being seen to see how she is doing. It is a great level of care and the staff are phenomenal!
Brought my 3 year old son in for a cough and congestion. He usually does not cooperate for ANY type of health office visits, but he did amazing today thanks to the great staff ensuring he was comfortable. From the kind people at the front desk Gerard and Ty, to Chris who triaged, and the provider Sheila- it was an amazing experience for our little man. Highly highly recommend this office!
My daughter had an exceptional experience at Drakos office! From the moment we walked in, the staff was friendly, welcoming, and efficient. The office was clean, modern, and well-organized. Dr Sheila Ptak was knowledgeable, compassionate, and took the time to listen . Halie explained to my daughter everything and treatment options were clear . The care we received was top-notch, and I appreciated the extra time they took to answer all our questions. I highly recommend Drakos and their team to anyone looking for a great healthcare experience. 5 stars and well done!"
Great experience today after picking my 9 yr old up from school sick. Only took me a couple minutes to book an appointment on their site and when we arrived everyone was so friendly and fast we were checked in and in a room in less than 5 minutes. All the staff was amazing and made my daughter feel so comfortable that she even commented how much she liked it there and wasn’t scared at all. They even gave her a popsicle and cute holder for it that she could take home! We will definitely be using Drakos Pediatric Urgent Care from now on!
